Virginia

“The simple life... is rarely simple.”

Sheriff Dick Tipton (Ed Harris) is running for state senate when his daughter Jessie (Emma Roberts) starts dating the son of Virginia (Jennifer Connelly), a charming, psychologically fragile woman he has been seeing in secret for twenty years. Dustin Lance Black sets the story among small-town families who know too much about each other and say very little. The campaign needs a clean name, and the affair, the girl and the boy are now all in the same room.
