“Justice needs a new program.”

Parker Barnes (Denzel Washington) is a disgraced ex-cop serving time, a man the system has already written off. Then LETAC, a law enforcement research center, offers him a way out, because its virtual reality training program has produced Sid 6.7 (Russell Crowe), a killer built from the personalities of more than 150 murderers. Brett Leonard sets the film in a world where the simulation can cross over, and a machine is learning to be a person.
