Visage

Kang (Lee Kang-sheng), a Taiwanese director, wants to make a film in Paris built on the myth of Salomé, and the Louvre has agreed to be his set. Tsai Ming-liang follows the shoot as it drifts through the museum's rooms and into Kang's memories of his mother (Lu Yi-ching), with Fanny Ardant and Jean-Pierre Léaud passing through as the royal court. The Louvre's galleries fill with strangers in costume, and Laetitia Casta stands among them as Salomé.
