Vive L'Amour

Hsiao-kang (Lee Kang-sheng) has stolen a key and let himself into an empty apartment in Taipei, where he settles in as though it were his own. He doesn't know that May (Yang Kuei-mei), the real estate agent who has the place to show, brings her lover Ah-jung (Chen Chao-jung) there, and none of the three knows about the others. Tsai Ming-liang keeps his camera still and the dialogue almost nonexistent, so the long silences carry the film.
