Vivre Sa Vie

(1962)Directed by Jean-Luc Godard84 minDrama
“The many faces of a woman trying to find herself.”

Nana Kleinfrankenheim (Anna Karina) leaves her husband and her small son in Paris, and wants to become an actress. Her money runs short, and Jean-Luc Godard follows her through twelve numbered episodes, each a scene in a cafe, a record shop or a street, where the next small choice is made. The film stays beside Nana as she moves toward the work she never planned on.
