Vizontele

In the early 1970s, the small town of Hakkari in Turkey gets its first television, which the townspeople call a "Visiontele." Mayor Nazmi (Altan Erkekli) wants the set installed as proof his town has joined the modern world, while Deli Emin (Yılmaz Erdoğan) and his mother Siti Ana (Demet Akbağ) watch from the edge. Erdoğan and Ömer Faruk Sorak draw on his childhood memories, and what the town stands to lose is the way its people have always lived together.
