Voices in the Wind

“CAN I COME WITH YOU?”

It is 2019, eight years after the tsunami, and Haru (Serena Motola) leaves Hiroshima for Ōtsuchi, the town where the water took her parents and her brother. Her road trip, with Nobuhiro Suwa's camera beside her, brings her to strangers like Morio (Hidetoshi Nishijima), people who also carry the loss in their own ways. Near the end of the road is the wind phone, a disconnected telephone standing in a garden, waiting for someone to lift the receiver.
