“First The Holy Innocents. Now a comedy film”

Carlos Galván (José Sacristán) runs a travelling theatre company that moves from town to town, performing for whoever will buy a ticket. The Iniesta-Galván family keeps going through changing times, with Juanita Plaza (Laura del Sol) and María Luisa Ponte's Julia Iniesta among the troupe, until a young man turns up claiming to be a son Carlos fathered on the road. Fernando Fernán Gómez wrote, directed and acted in this adaptation of his own novel.
