Wałesa: Man of Hope

A Gdansk shipyard electrician named Lech Wałęsa (Robert Więckiewicz) starts out as one worker fighting for the rights of the men around him. The Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci (Maria Rosaria Omaggio) sits him down to ask how an ordinary man became a leader millions followed, and his wife Danuta (Agnieszka Grochowska) is there for the answer too. Andrzej Wajda, who filmed this country's history for decades, tells it plainly from the shipyard floor.
