Wag the Dog

Conrad Brean (Robert De Niro) is a spin doctor with eleven days before the election and a President accused of sexual misconduct. He calls in Stanley Motss (Dustin Hoffman), a Hollywood producer, to stage a war in Albania that exists only on television. Barry Levinson plays it deadpan, and the film suggests the public will believe whatever arrives with good music and a clear picture.
