Waiting for Guffman

“There's a good reason some talent remains undiscovered.”

Nobody in Blaine, Missouri has seen Mort Guffman, but word has gone around that the Broadway agent is coming to opening night. Corky St. Clair (Christopher Guest), the town's aspiring director, pushes his amateur cast, including Dr. Allan Pearl (Eugene Levy), through rehearsals of a hokey musical. Christopher Guest shoots them as a documentary crew would, and they keep rehearsing, certain somebody important is watching.
