Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) loses his brother in a childhood accident, and the loss follows him into music, where he rises through country, rock and roll and folk. Jake Kasdan and co-writer Judd Apatow stage every decade of his career as a straight-faced biopic, with Darlene Madison (Jenna Fischer) beside him. Dewey stands at a microphone with his guitar, sweating and sincere, and he looks like a man who has never doubted a single song.
