Walk on the Wild Side

(1962)Directed by Edward Dmytryk114 minDrama
“A side of life you never expected to see on the screen!”

Dove Linkhorn (Laurence Harvey) turns up at a New Orleans bordello in the 1930s, looking for Hallie (Capucine), the sweetheart he lost track of three years ago. She is now the main attraction at the Doll House, where the madam Jo Courtney (Barbara Stanwyck) keeps a close eye on her. Edward Dmytryk shoots the Doll House as a closed world, and everyone inside it has a stake in who stays and who leaves.
