Waltz for Monica

“Having it all comes at a price”

Monica Zetterlund (Edda Magnason) leaves a telephone operator's job in a small Swedish town and takes a stage in the Stockholm jazz clubs, then one in New York. Per Fly follows her up through the 1950s and 60s as she becomes a singer and actress the whole country knows. Her marriage to Sture Åkerberg (Sverrir Gudnason) runs alongside the career, close and complicated, the one person she keeps coming back to.
