“One man's journey to uncover his past.”

Ari Folman (voice) is a film director in Israel who cannot recall anything of his service as a soldier in the 1982 invasion of Lebanon. He sets out to interview the men who served beside him, among them Boaz Rein-Buskila (Mickey Leon) and Carmi Cna'an (Yehezkel Lazarov), and each of them hands him a fragment. Folman made the film as animation, drawing the veterans' accounts as he pieces together a war his own mind has kept from him.
