War Sailor

Alfred (Kristoffer Joner) and Sigbjørn (Pål Sverre Hagen) are Norwegian merchant sailors who sign on together when the Second World War begins, leaving their families behind. Gunnar Vikene follows them across the war years, with their wives and children waiting at home. There are more than 30,000 Norwegian sailors like them, and none of the families know whether the men will come back.
