Warm Water Under a Red Bridge

Yosuke Sasano (Koji Yakusho), a salaryman out of work, hears from a dying friend that a treasure lies hidden in a house by a red bridge. He leaves for a small fishing village with that one clue, and Shōhei Imamura, in his last feature, follows him there. At the house he meets Saeko Aizawa (Misa Shimizu), a woman unlike anyone he has imagined, and what he came for starts to matter less than what he stands to lose by staying.
