Wasabi

“For those who take their action raw.”

Hubert Fiorentini (Jean Reno) is a French policeman whose methods are rough enough that his boss orders him to take two months off. He flies to Japan, where he worked nineteen years ago, to settle the estate of the girlfriend who left him shortly after their marriage without a word. Gérard Krawczyk, working from a Luc Besson script, keeps the film moving at a fast, brawling clip and finds the comedy in a hard man who has to slow down.
