Waterloo Bridge

Why does a young American chorus girl in wartime London spend her nights on Waterloo Bridge? Myra Deauville (Mae Clarke) has no work and no money, and an air raid throws her together with Roy Cronin (Douglass Montgomery), a trusting soldier who has no idea. James Whale follows the two of them toward his family's country house, where Roy's affection meets everything she has kept from him.
