(1940)Directed by Mervyn LeRoy108 minDrama, Romance
“"Every parting from you is like a little eternity"”

On the eve of World War II, a British officer stops on Waterloo Bridge and goes back twenty-five years to the winter he spent there as a young man. Myra (Vivien Leigh), a ballerina, and Roy Cronin (Robert Taylor), an army captain on his way to the front, meet by chance on that same bridge. Mervyn LeRoy tells it as one long flashback, and Myra is the one who carries it.
