We Are What We Are

“Young. Wild. Hungry.”

A man collapses and dies in a Mexico City shopping mall, and his widow Patricia (Carmen Beato) and their three children are left to carry on a disturbing, ritualistic tradition without him. Jorge Michel Grau follows the family as the sons Alfredo (Francisco Barreiro) and Julián (Alan Chávez) take the father's place. What stays with you is the grim crowded flat they share, where the family sits down together and no one speaks.
