The Parkers keep to themselves and to customs older than anyone around them, and nobody in town knows what those customs demand. When the family matriarch dies and a torrential downpour sets in, Frank Parker (Bill Sage) hands her duties to his daughters, Iris (Ambyr Childers) and Rose (Julia Garner). Jim Mickle follows the sisters as the doctor and a deputy (Wyatt Russell) press closer, and Rose has to decide how much of the family's secret she can carry.
