We Bought a Zoo

“A true zoo story.”

Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon), a widowed father still raw from loss, impulsively buys a decrepit zoo with his two children and moves them onto the grounds. Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson), the zoo's animal caretaker, and a ragtag staff help him transform the place before opening day, each task revealing how fragile and necessary the work has become. Crowe finds the warmth in small moments between strangers learning to trust each other again.
