We Own the Night

“Two brothers on opposite sides of the law. Beyond their differences lies loyalty.”

Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) runs a New York nightclub and keeps quiet about his family, because his brother Joseph (Mark Wahlberg) and his father Burt (Robert Duvall) are both police officers. When Russian mafia hitmen start circling the Grusinskys, James Gray puts Bobby between the people he grew up with and the people who pay him. Bobby stands in the club's neon glow, Amada (Eva Mendes) beside him, the music loud enough to hide what he is thinking.
