We Shall Overcome

Frits Johansen (Janus Dissing Rathke) is a boy in Denmark in 1969, and he has taken Martin Luther King Jr. as his hero. At his school, the headmaster Lindum Svendsen (Bent Mejding) runs things the old way, with rules and discipline no one is allowed to question. Niels Arden Oplev follows Frits as he starts to talk back, a small boy standing in the headmaster's office, looking up at the man.
