We the Animals

“Us three, us brothers, us kings.”

Jonah (Evan Rosado) is the youngest of three brothers, small enough to get left behind when Manny (Isaiah Kristian) and Joel (Josiah Santiago) run wild. Their father Paps (Raúl Castillo) and Ma (Sheila Vand) love them hard and fight just as hard, and the older boys are already turning into their father. Jeremiah Zagar's first narrative feature stays low to the ground with the boys, while Jonah draws a world of his own.
