“Based on Edgar Allan Poe's "Night of the Living Dead"”

In 1971 London, the American journalist Alan Foster (Anthony Franciosa) arrives to interview Edgar Allan Poe (Klaus Kinski) and ends up taking a bet to spend one night in Lord Blackwood's castle. Inside he meets Elisabeth Blackwood (Michèle Mercier), the host's sister, and the long hours before dawn begin. Antonio Margheriti fills the castle with candles, cobwebs and crowded Gothic rooms, and lets the night run slow.
