Weekend at Bernie's

“Bernie may be dead, but he's still the life of the party!”

Bernie Lomax (Terry Kiser) is dead before the weekend starts, and the two young insurance employees who find him, Larry (Andrew McCarthy) and Richard (Jonathan Silverman), decide nobody can know. Ted Kotcheff has them prop him up and wheel him through a holiday of parties while a hit man named Paulie (Don Calfa) goes looking for him. Under the farce is a plain idea: a crowd will see whatever it expects, and a man with the right name is still the life of the party.
