“The world belongs to the weird.”

Al Yankovic (Daniel Radcliffe) is a gifted kid with an accordion and a father, Nick (Toby Huss), who wants him on the factory floor. His songs, 'Eat It' and 'Like a Surgeon' among them, carry him toward fame and into a romance with Madonna (Evan Rachel Wood). Eric Appel, directing a script he wrote with Yankovic, plays the rock biopic straight-faced, exaggerating every cliché of the genre.
