Welcome to Hartmanns

Angelika Hartmann (Senta Berger), a retired teacher, wants to open her home to people in need, so she takes a refugee named Diallo into the family's Munich house. Her husband Richard (Heiner Lauterbach) is against it, and the household that was already a mess gets louder. Simon Verhoeven puts the whole family at the dinner table, and Angelika holds her ground while everyone else argues around her.
