Wendy and Lucy

“On the long road, friendship is everything.”

Wendy Carroll (Michelle Williams) is driving to Alaska, where she hopes to find work, with almost no money and her dog Lucy beside her. Her trip stalls when she is caught trying to shoplift food for the dog, and Lucy is gone when she gets out. Kelly Reichardt keeps the story small, a search for one lost animal, where the cost of having nothing to fall back on is plain.
