We're Going to Eat You

Agent 999 (Norman Tsui Siu-keung) is sent to a remote island off the Chinese coast to bring in a wanted bandit named Rolex (Melvin Wong King-Sun). Tsui Hark keeps the pace loose and fast, and 999 starts to sense that the villagers are hiding the fact that they eat human flesh. The island belongs to a tribal chief and his cannibals, and the film sets that horror beside a joke, trusting you to laugh at one thing and flinch at the other.
