We're No Angels

(1989)Directed by Neil Jordan106 min · PG-13Comedy, Crime
“Escaped convicts disguised as priests. It'll take a miracle to get away with this one.”

In 1989, two convicts break out of prison with a police blockade standing between them and the Canadian border. Their only way through is to pass themselves off as priests, so Ned (Robert De Niro) and Jim (Sean Penn) put on the collars and try to look like men of God. Neil Jordan builds the film around the two of them, a pair who bicker and cover for each other and can't quite be left alone.
