“The kinkiest caper of the year!”

Nancy (Sydne Rome), a young American hitchhiking through Italy, fights off one attacker and ends up inside a sprawling Mediterranean villa full of odd residents, among them Alex (Marcello Mastroianni) and Joseph Noblart (Hugh Griffith). Roman Polanski plays it straight while the household treats each new absurdity as ordinary. Nancy has nowhere to go but deeper in, and every attempt to leave only holds her a little longer.
