What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?

“Once they were warriors. Men of Honour. Now five years on one man's battle has only just begun.”

Five years after walking out on his family, Jake Heke (Temuera Morrison) is back at McClutchy's Bar, knocking down another opponent, with no idea his eldest son Nig has been killed in a gang fight. The funeral brings Jake face to face with Beth (Rena Owen) and with Sonny (Clint Eruera), who has his own reasons to confront his father. Ian Mune follows Jake and Sonny into a downward spiral, two men who each carry the other's anger.
