What Scoundrels Men Are!

In 1932 Italy, Bruno (Vittorio De Sica) is a chauffeur who can't hold a job, and one morning he meets Mariuccia (Lia Franca), a taxi driver's daughter who works behind the counter of a perfumery. To impress her he pretends to be rich and takes his employer's car out to the lakes. Mario Camerini sets a lot on that borrowed ride, since Bruno's job and Mariuccia's good opinion are both riding on it.
