“A family united by the past. Divided by the present.”

A blizzard hits the town Bridget (Hilary Swank) left years ago, and her mother Ruth (Blythe Danner), who has Alzheimer's, walks out into it alone. Bridget flies home to find her brother Nick (Michael Shannon) pressing to move Ruth into a nursing home, and their father Burt (Robert Forster) refusing to hear it. Elizabeth Chomko's debut puts a marriage of many years on one side and a mother's safety on the other.
