What's in a Name

“A child is the beginning of happiness. A name is the beginning of despair.”

Vincent (Patrick Bruel), a wealthy real estate agent, arrives for dinner at the Paris home of his sister Élisabeth (Valérie Benguigui) and her husband Pierre, both professors. Claude, an old friend and trombonist, is already at the table when Vincent announces the name he and his wife Anna have picked for their unborn son. Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte adapted their own stage play, and they keep nearly everything inside that one dining room.
