When a Stranger Calls

“Whatever You Do, Don't Answer The Phone.”

The phone rings in a luxurious house where Jill Johnson (Camilla Belle), a teenager babysitting for the night, has just put the children to bed. The man on the line is calm and polite, and he keeps asking whether she has checked on them. Simon West extends the remake's opening stretch of calls to feature length, keeping Jill almost entirely inside the one house.
