When Eight Bells Toll

“Danger runs deeper than the sea bed!”

Off the western coast of the Scottish highlands, millions in gold bullion keep vanishing to pirates. Philip Calvert (Anthony Hopkins), a British Treasury agent, goes to the small port of Torbay, where fishing boats, yachts and people have been disappearing for months. The trail leads him toward the shipping magnate Sir Anthony Skouras (Jack Hawkins) and his wife Charlotte (Nathalie Delon), aboard their yacht, and Calvert goes after the answers himself.
