When Fall Is Coming

Michelle (Hélène Vincent) is a retired woman living quietly in a Burgundy village, with her old friend Marie-Claude (Josiane Balasko) close by. When her daughter Valérie (Ludivine Sagnier) leaves her son Lucas with her for the school holidays, Michelle serves them lunch made with toxic mushrooms. François Ozon follows what that meal costs her afterward: the ban on seeing her grandson, the guilt, and a loneliness she can't shake.
