Michael (Andrew Ortenberg) has been waiting for the right moment to propose to Rose (June Schreiner), but the world is ending and time is running out. He sets out across a landscape of empty highways and abandoned towns, determined to find the ring he buried years ago and finally ask her. By the time he reaches her, he discovers that waiting was never really the point.
