When Nietzsche Wept

Josef Breuer (Ben Cross), a respected Viennese doctor, agrees to treat the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (Armand Assante), who is sunk in despair. Pinchas Perry sets their sessions in Vienna's drawing rooms and consulting offices, with the young Sigmund Freud (Jamie Elman) close at hand. Each man needs the other's help to bear his own despair, and the cost of getting it falls on two lives, not one.
