When Saturday Comes

“To Jimmy Life Was Just A Game...Until The Game Became His Life!”

Jimmy Muir (Sean Bean) lives in a northern town where a man works the pit or the factory, and he drinks hard with his mates like everyone else. He wants to be a professional footballer, which nobody around him takes seriously, least of all his bitter father Joe (John McEnery). Maria Giese puts Jimmy between Annie (Emily Lloyd) and a lifetime of habits, and the pit and the factory stay in view the whole way.
