When Worlds Collide

“Planets destroy earth!”

Two astronomers have worked out that a rogue star is heading for Earth, and a planet traveling with it will pass close enough to wreck land and sea days before the impact. Pilot David Randall (Richard Derr) carries the proof to Dr. Cole Hendron (Larry Keating), whose scientists begin building a rocket to carry a few chosen people to that planet. Rudolph Maté stages the project as a deadline with no extension, and the film's question is who gets a seat.
