Where’s Poppa?

Gordon Hocheiser (George Segal) is a New York attorney who spends his days and nights looking after his senile mother (Ruth Gordon), a promise he made to his late father. Then he meets Louise Callan (Trish Van Devere), and Carl Reiner follows his scheme to be rid of the old woman before her habits drive Louise away. Under the dark jokes sits a plain question of what a grown son owes the parent who raised him.
