Where the Heart Is

“Laughter is harder... Friendship is stronger... Trust is deeper... When it comes from the heart.”

Nobody knows where Novalee Nation (Natalie Portman) has gone, only that she is seventeen, seven months pregnant, and out of Tennessee, and that her boyfriend has driven off and left her at a roadside. With nowhere else to go, she takes shelter in a Wal-Mart. Matt Williams follows her as Lexie Coop (Ashley Judd) and a few other kind, odd strangers start looking after her, and she keeps going for her baby's sake.
