Whirlpool of Fate

Virginia Rosaert (Catherine Hessling) is left an orphan, her father dead and her uncle drinking away what little remains. She finds shelter with a band of bohemians, but she is soon forced to run from them and keep moving. Renoir made this silent film in 1925 with Hessling at its center, and Virginia has to carry on with nothing of her own to hold.
