Whisper of the Heart

“I found someone I like.”

In a Tokyo suburb in the mid-1990s, Shizuku Tsukishima (Yoko Honna) spends her days reading, and she notices that every library book she borrows was checked out before by someone named Seiji Amasawa. Yoshifumi Kondo, working from a script by Hayao Miyazaki, follows her as she goes looking for him. The boy she finds (Issey Takahashi) is nothing like the name on the cards, and each keeps pushing the other to start.
