Whistle and I'll Come to You

Professor Parkins (Michael Hordern) believes every event in life has a rational explanation, and he holds that belief while on holiday at a remote Norfolk coastal village. Out on the beach he finds an ancient whistle and blows it, and the horrors he has dismissed all his life begin to stir. Jonathan Miller leaves the professor alone with his thoughts and the coast, the wind carrying across the empty sand.
